Madhuri Dixit
Madhuri dixit is an acclaimed Indian actress best known for her roles in Hum Aapke Hain Koun. She was first known for the role she played in the 1980s film Tezaab where she co-starred alongside an established actor Anil Koopor. The next time she appeared on screen was in Dil with Aamir. In Mumbai her home, she grew up by middle class parents. When she was a young stage, she was able to study dance. She began acting when she was a youngster and struggled for a few years as many of her early films were flops. The actress gained fame and was one of India's leading film actresses. Following her wedding ceremony, she took a brief break from her acting career until she returned. More recently she played in a crucial character in the film Gulaab Gang which was about the challenges faced by women in India. Dixit received the film eight Filmfare Awards out of the fifteen nominations she received. Dixit was also awarded her Padma Shri the fourth highest civilian honor in India. The award was also given to her for her efforts in the field of social work.
