Emma
Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson, was born in Paris France of British parents Jacqueline Luesby Watson and Chris Watson both attorneys. At the age five she moved to Oxfordshire to attend the Dragon School. Emma was just six when she decided she wanted to be an actor. She trained for several years in Stagecoach Theatre Arts, a full-time school of theatre in Oxford in which she learned acting and singing. From the age of 10 she was involved and played the leading role in numerous Stagecoach School plays and productions. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) The movie version of J.K. Rowlings bestselling novel was filmed for the first time at the beginning of 1999. Emma was discovered by agents through her Oxford teacher. David Heyman, the producer of Harry Potter Harry Potter's Sorcerer's Stone and Ron Weasley told Emma after 8 auditions, that she had been selected for the roles. The cast included Daniel Radcliffe Rupert Grint and Rupert Grint. Emma's first cinematic appearance was as a part of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in the year 2001. It was the year's top grossing film, breaking records during the opening day and first weekend. The film was praised by critics who praised the film and particularly the younger actors. The Daily Telegraph in Britain, which is widely distributed, called her performance commendable. Emma's performance received nominations and was awarded five awards in the film.
