Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is an Mexican singer and musician born into a family of musicians. Her childhood was spent listening to classical and old boleros, and the traditional songs of romantics and ranchero. Ana is a fan of tangos and operas as well as other theatrical performances. She was taught by her mother to sing, however she started more intense training in vocals through Flavio Belcerra, who was 16 at the time when the singer was famous as a Mexican opera tenor. At the School of Music of Guadalajara University and the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico continued her music education. She sang throughout Guadalajara, Mexico City and other cities as a young scholar and professional. When she moved into America in the year 2000, she joined the United States in 2000, she sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before shifting to her residence in the southern part of California. She sings in Ensemble XXI Redlands, and performs Latin American traditional music solo at many private events. The love she has for singing, music and the arts keeps active in community projects both as an artist and instructor. Ana was a former part of the Community Chorus of Redlands (as being a member of the Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana is hoping that, through her sharing songs from Latin American traditional songs, to bring about a desire, specifically among the younger generation, for keeping this music in the present.
